1 Samuel 10:8 – Then go down to gilgal ahead of me and wait for me there seven days. I will join you there to sacrifice burnt offerings and peace offerings. When I arrive,I will give you further instructions. NLT

The Prophet Samuel issued a command to King Saul to wait for him for seven days in Gilgal. The time was fixed and King Saul had to accept that fact and abide by it. When times are fixed, there is no room for negotiations and discussions, only obedience. What was required of King Saul was not long hours of prayer or fasting; there was a clear cut instruction- WAIT.

You must accept that, certain times have been fixed in this life and your prayers, offerings and sacrifices would have very little or no positive impact on them. Smart people outsmart people in providing just what the circumstance needs.

Christians must accept this truth and spare themselves of the many heartaches and pains they go through unnecessarily when they could have been avoided with a simple understanding.

Many Christians believe that they can cut short every process and so you see frustration of purpose drawn on their faces after many failed attempts to tamper with times that have been fixed already.

Part of understanding your purpose is accepting that there are certain timings that have been fixed and you cannot do anything about it apart from waiting. Spend your energy on waiting when you have to wait. When a man spends his energy breaking down doors he is supposed to wait for them to open, he grows too wearied to make full proof of the opportunity when the door is finally opened.

Beloved, accept that there are some doors that will not open to you at certain times even if you fasted and prayed continuously for seventy days without food or water. You may own the biggest medical facility with state of the art machinery and equipment but you can never induce your wife to deliver a bouncing baby boy within one month of pregnancy.
