Money has the ability to murder visions, dreams and purposes. Show me a preacher whose heart is pierced with many sorrows and I will show you one who loves money. Money is a hidden trap that sits at the center of many dreams.

For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

- 1 Timothy 6:10 NLT

Money is very important in the furtherance of the gospel of Christ Jesus but it seems preachers cannot heed to the warning enough; many keep falling for it as though the Word of God never warned them against it. Until you meet a preacher who goes where his pockets lead, you have not met a vain and profane person like Esau who could not direct his appetite.

More than ninety percent of the Christian’s prayer today is answered by money. Give a Christian more money and you would have taken away praying from him or her because money is well connected to all the prayers in the church today. Money of course has a role to play in the expansion of the gospel of Christ but it must be carefully monitored lest it steals control of the entire ministry. The love of money has risen up unspoken horrors as branches that brought forth incomprehensible wickedness as fruits which men plucked and ate.

It is a good thing to make money and use money. Having money is not the same as loving money. Money has a way of limiting those who lack it and opening more opportunities to those who have it. Therefore you must have money and not love money.

Money reserves a sharp instinct to assassinate purposes through the lack of it and the love of it. Dear Christian and Preacher, you must fight against lacking money and loving money alike.

Decide to become one of the few who can never be corrupted by the lack of money or having the money.
